In Year 11-12 Modern History, students learn about past human experiences, increasing their understanding of society today. A range of different histories are studied, including Germany during the 19th and 20th centuries, the French Revolution, Meiji Restoration in Japan, Chinese history from 1927-1989 and a variety of different conflicts such as WWII and the Vietnam War. The Historical Investigation project in Year 11, gives students the opportunity to explore in depth, a modern history topic of their choice. Students also undertake an excursion to the Sydney Jewish Museum to investigate artefacts and hear first hand from a Holocaust survivor.
