Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
PDHPE provides students with opportunities to explore issues that are likely to impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others – now and in the future. Students also participate in challenging and enjoyable physical activity, improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence.
The following courses are offered in the junior years:
In Year 11-12, students focus on a range of areas related to health, physical activity and physical performance. They develop understanding and skills in managing personal health and body systems, in particular, how to use advanced approaches to training and sports medicine to improve performance. Students will also investigate the health of young people and groups experiencing inequity while having practical experience in First Aid and outdoor fitness activities.
