In learning a Classical language, students develop skills in critical and analytical thinking, attention to detail, systematic memorisation and clarity of expression - skills which can be applied in many different fields. Latin also help students gain the understanding of different fields by attaining a comprehension of the specialist terminology used in science, law, medicine and philosophy.
Students learn the basic grammar and structures of the language and at the same time, will explore various aspects of Roman history, culture, and mythology. Students have the chance to become familiar with many of the myths that have inspired modern drama from Harry Potter to Galdiator, as well as have a first-hand acquaintance with some of the greatest literature ever written.
